On My Desk...

...could they be any more beautiful?? I was so happy to see them at the store last night! Tulips are my absolute most favorite flower and I'm tempted to take a drive up to Washington this spring for the Tulip Festival...any takers??

L is for LOVE.

Love, love LOVE Daily Drop Cap by the most talented typographer, Jessica Hische! I love her clean and crisp style...so awesome! Everyday is a new letter of the alphabet and I think she's now about halfway through her fourth alphabet. Love this L!

CHA = For The Birds

As I was showing a customer some products in the booth today, another customer yelled, "watch out!" I looked at her completely confused about what I'd be "watching out" for...turns out I almost stepped on this little bird that snuck into the show! I was glad I happened to have my camera with me!

Pre-CHA and Day 1

(I'm not very good at this game...all of use had our own cars on the ride (there were about 7 of us) and I definitely got the lowest score out of everyone!)
What a crazy and fun weekend! I'm in Anaheim for CHA this week and it's been pretty busy so far. We all headed over to Disneyland last night and it was the best! No lines anywhere--we practically walked on to most of the rides! It was fun to get a little break before the show started and to just have a fun night with everyone!

CHA started today and runs through Wednesday. I oversee the Pebbles Design Team and was able to meet a few of the ladies that are here at the show! Suzanne, Susan, Lynn and Samantha all stopped by to say "hi!" today...I need to remember to take my camera tomorrow. I have just email cooresponded with everyone on the design team, so it was really fun to meet these talented ladies in person!

Oh! Funny story--we were driving around looking for an In-n-Out for dinner tonight and we ended up over in Orange, so we went to one on Chapman Ave. About half way through the meal, in walked my friend, Buddy, from El Modena High! I last saw Buddy a few years ago when he was playing for a minor league baseball team and they were playing against St Louis. It was fun to see a familiar face! Random, but fun!

Time to go let my feet soak in the bathtub for a few minutes and then get some sleep!

Só Jesus Salva!

It was kind of a busy and crazy day at work (to say the least), so it was nice to come home and find an email from my little brother, Marshall. We get emails weekly from him, and they always seem to come at just the right time! It was so good to hear his voice on Christmas when we were able to talk with him for a few minutes. In his email this week, he shared this experience:

"There was one day this week when a man drove past us in the other direction shouting "Só Jesus salva!" ("Only Jesus saves!") You know, in one sense he was right. Jesus did do something that only He could do for us in order for us to receive salvation... but the thing is, there are things we can (and need) to do in order for the Atonement that He went through to apply to us. And as representatives of Jesus Christ, we're here to help other people learn what those things are and do them."

I'm so grateful to have a brother serving a mission right now. I feel like I've grown to love him more even though he's so far away!

And on an entirely unrelated note, my poor desk needs a little attention, don't you think?

Enjoy.

(for the record, I can't stand this song...but this is pretty funny!)

Happy New Year!

Twenty-ten? Two thousand-ten? Two thousand-and-ten? I still don't know. I think I'm leaning towards "twenty-ten."

I had no idea that building a snowman could be so time consuming! Britt and I built our New Year Snowman, Jack last night and spent well over an hour rolling the snow, packing the snow, trying to make everything even and non-lumpy, and finding things to use for a face and accessories!
About 20 minutes after we were finished, I looked out the window to check on Jack, only to find that someone had pushed him over! How could someone commit such a crime?!
Fortunately, Jack's back. Our dear friend, Lane, was kind enough to surprise us with a new and improved snowman! Thanks Lane!
