Two things...

One: last night was such a good night for a few reasons...one reason being that American Idol was surprisingly good! I was starting to think I wasn't going to watch this season because I was bored with the first half of the season, but it seemed like there were more good performances last night than bad ones, which is hopeful, right? Here's my prediction for the top two:
I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one!

Two: I had applied to participate in the Beehive Bazaar and was pretty sure that my friend Amy and I were totally in...turns out we got rejected! Lame. I had my game plan all figured out for making my goods over the next month and a half, but then the reject email came and put a halt on those plans. Oh well. But there's good news! I'm still in the crafty mood and have lots of ideas for handmade goods. SO, the first five people to leave comments on this post will win a handmade gift by...me! I'm not sure what I'll be making, but it'll be good!**

Oh...and one more thing. They don't call it "Happy Valley" for nothing. Utah made the front page of Yahoo this afternoon...it's something to be happy about!

**update: there's going to be a wild card drawing (inspired by last week's American Idol) for those who comment after the first five!

YAY!! I am the first one!! I get a homemade gift!! I loved the Valentine! Oh and I think Adam Lambert will win for sure, but I don't even remember that other guy... I think someone else will be in the top 2... maybe the el salvador girl, the blind guy or the puerto rican guy... those are my guesses, haha... I really like that rockin robin girl from utah though, she is very unique... a little strange maybe, but unique... I don't think she will win though. So what is Beehive Bazaar and why did you get rejected?

You are so creative and I'm numero cuatro!! I'm watching American Idol right now so I can be sure I know what's being talked about in the Pinc room so I don't look stupid. :)

Seriously...you were rejected? Your mother can't believe it - everything you do is wonderful. Put me in touch with the person in charge and I'll straighten them out! Errrr.
Glad you're "happy"! MamaBear

Beehive Bazaar is going to regret their decision!

You were rejected! I can't believe it! Oh well! I'd still love to see all the stuff you've been working on!

Thanks to Google or Internet explorer - I didn't make the top 5. Do a "web bazaar" instead. Make your stuff and post it on your blog. You might be surprised. I used to do "Open houses" in my home that did pretty well.

But twelve is special. I think I should win something divinely handmade by you just for being this fabulous number...

Stacey :: Beehive Bazaar is a craft show in Provo...I got a generic 'reject email' from them saying that either A) they didn't have room for us or B) my goods didn't match the style or feel they wanted for the show...something like that. Lame, but I'm over it! :)

Shellie :: I still want to sell things on the side, something to keep me busy! Maybe etsy, maybe on this blog...we'll see! Thanks for the ideas!

Nicole :: I love that talk by Elder Wirthlin, too...it was one of those talks that I needed to hear right then and still re-read that talk on a regular basis!
